THE IDEA
Scandinavian by nature.
The EX30 brings Volvo’s Scandinavian design philosophy into a smaller, more considered form: minimal, sustainable and distinctly human.
The idea was to place the vehicle within a world shaped by the same principles: clean architecture, natural movement and a quiet relationship between light and material.
Nothing excessive. Nothing competing with the vehicle. A visual language built around simplicity.
THE MAKING
Where design meets movement.
The EX30 sits within a large-scale glass environment, with shifting reflections continuously changing the way its surfaces are perceived.
Fluid cloth simulations move through the architecture, introducing softness and organic motion against the clean geometry of the space.
The vehicle, environment and materials were developed to respond naturally to cinematic lighting, from controlled reflections across the bodywork to the subtle interaction of light with glass and fabric.
VFX and compositing bring these elements together, preserving the physical quality of the materials while keeping the image unmistakably Scandinavian.
The complexity lives beneath the simplicity.
THE FILM
A quieter way to see a car.
The EX30 moves through a series of composed perspectives, revealing its form through changing reflections, moving fabric and evolving light.
The environment remains in motion, but never demands attention.
Glass, cloth, light and surface become part of the composition, allowing the vehicle to remain at the centre of every frame.
